Now! If You would just see everything my way!!!!

Children tend to be more creative than adults for various reasons. Thinking like a child is a good way to rewind your mental clock and potentially invent some creative solutions to your current problem or project. A good way to start thinking like a child is to abandon your judgment and knowledge of what is practical and start asking playful questions.

1. What if my problem was an animal? What would it look like? Draw it. How would the animal deal with it?
2. If your project had parents, what would they be like?
3. What does your project like to eat?
4. If you were a hundred years in the future, how would you solve your problem?
5. What if you were a caveman? Would the problem still exist? If it doesn't, what would be a related problem?

These are just examples of playful questions. Think up your own that make sense to your project.

Now do you understand why 'the little ones' are featured on this page?

OPENING UP AND TAKING APART

I open to you
parts of me
anger, helplessness, rage, fear,lonliness, need
all parts of me
giving, taking, needing,loving,caring,wanting
all parts of me
sadness, gladnes, madnes, insanity
All Parts of me, all of me
hidden, unexamined, unexplored, masked, protected, defended

I say,
All of these,All of these
I say
all of these are parts of me
raw, naked, exposed

Please, Please, Please be careful
with all these wonderful, precious parts of me

They are all I have.

ANCESTOR SONG

See the sun, feel the heartbeat of our Mother as she breathes
Feel the wind, hear the song of our Creator as it sings
Every prayer we give away we let go of this world a little more
On this road we travel we will honor those who've walked this road before

Octalotahay, Kachinay, Chulamatahay, Hokshedahay

I believe, each soul has a vison of its own
I believe, Love's the only thing that makes us whole
With the Love we give away we let go of this world a little more
On this road we travel we will honor those who've walked this road before

Octalotahay, Kachinay, Chulamatahay, Hokshedahay

Settin Sun, it tells half the world the day has gone
Watch the night teach us that the shadow's just as strong
Every day we give away we let go of this world a little more
On this road we travel we will honor those who've walked this road before

Octalotahay, Kachinay, Chulamatahay, Hokshedahay

Desert Stream

This is the true joy in life-
The being used for a purpose
recognized by yourself as a mighty one.
The being a force of nature,
instead of a selfish little clod
of ailments and grievances,
complaining the world will not devote itself
to making you happy.

I am of the opinion
that my life belongs to the
whole community and for as long as I live
it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be throughly used up
when I die for the harder I work the more
I live.
I rejoice in life for its own sake.
Life is no brief candle to me,
it is a sort of splendid torch which I’ve got
a hold of for the moment
and I want to make it burn
as brightly as possible
before handing it on to future generations.

....George Bernard Shaw

For some reason the tides

just continue their rhythm
of ebb and flow.

I wonder why that is!
I do know this,

I am not the One
controlling them!

What a relief!!!

But It is So, So Good
To be Able
To Watch.

We are transmitters

As we live, we are tranmitters of life

and when we fail to transmit life,
Life fails to flow through us

This is part of the Mystery of Sex,
it is a flow onwards,

sexless people transmit nothing

and if, as we work, we can tranmit
life into our work,

life, still more life, rushes into us
to compensate, to be ready

and we ripple with life through the days.

Even if it a woman making an apple dumpling,
or a man a stool

if life goes into the pudding, good is the pudding
good is the stool,

content is the woman,
with fresh life rippling into her
Content is the man.

Give, and it shall be given unto you
is still the truth about life

But giving life is not so easy.

It doesn't mean handing it out
to some mean fool,
or letting the living dead eat you up.

It means kindling the life quality
where it was not

even if it's only in the whiteness
of a washed pocket hankerchief.

....D.H lawrence

make this poem your own by writing your reflections on these questions.

....Where have you felt or now feel the failure and the deadness?

....In contrast where do you feel the rushing and rippling of life?

.....How have you experienced 'handing life out to some mean fool'?

.....With what images would you use to speak about what is being said by 'the whiteness of a washed pocket hankerchief"

.....With what images would you rewrite this poem? Try it!

.....What would it be like to experience everyday reality as 'life rippling through the days'?

.....What do you need to do to make it so? Any changes to risk?

How will you begin to do it?
